5th Annual Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival Set for 7/31-8/4
OPENING NIGHT FILM - Out-of- competition - INTERNATIONAL PREMIERE (IP)
*E Além de Tudo me Deixou Mudo o Violão / While my Guitar Gently Weeps, Anna Muylaert. 60'
In this pulsing coming of age story, an irrepressible 14 year-old girl deals with her restless teen angst, and the broken aftermath of her parents' torrid relationship, by playing an old acoustic guitar - until her fragile held life splits at the seams. Anna Muylaert is a special honoree guest of the festival. Her 2002 cult classic film, Durval's Disco will be the Closing night film.
Tickets for the Opening and Closing Awards galas are highly limited and will sell out fast. Last year they were 80% sold within the first week of the announcement so we encourage you to act before the ticket deadline, July 31th.
