Zapoint Launches the Next Generation of SkillsMapper
Zapoint, Inc., the leader in career management software solutions, today launched the next generation of SkillsMapper and will showcase the technology at the 15th Annual Corporate Learning Week (CLN Week), now underway at Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Orlando, Florida. This latest innovation of SkillsMapper combines advanced career pathing technology with world-class learning and assessment content from Kelley Executive Partners, the executive education arm of The Kelley School of Business, the highly ranked business school of Indiana University. Demonstrations will be available at the Zapoint booth (number 6) as well as the Kelley Executive Partners booth (number 5).
Early this year, Kelley and Zapoint worked with CareerBuilder to create the Moneyball service that CareerBuilder launched this past June. After CareerBuilder brought them together, Kelley and Zapoint decided to pursue an additional partnership to meet corporate requirements for management training. The alliance extends SkillsMapper's platform by delivering the industry's first comprehensive career management and learning tool to organizations looking to strengthen the skills and experiences of their workforce, increase engagement and retention, and gain a competitive advantage within their market place.
“This generation of SkillsMapper represents one of the most creative and innovative approaches to integrating employee driven career planning technology with the learning content that will directly support focused career development,” said John F. Cady, executive director for Kelley Executive Education. “We, at Kelley, believe that partnerships such as ours with Zapoint represent a major force for the future of skills development in the marketplace.”
“We understand that the quality of the workforce is an organization's lasting competitive differentiator,” said Chris Twyman, founder and chief executive officer at Zapoint. “By integrating Kelley's executive level e-learning courses into SkillsMapper's technology framework, we are taking online career management and learning to the next level in order to offer our customers a cost-efficient and accessible tool that empowers employees to develop their skills and career paths, while enabling management to customize training courses to the individual's needs and career paths, and align training with organizational goals and priorities.”
SkillsMapper takes an “employee-driven” approach to help individuals and organizations quantify talent, simply and objectively. Presented in an engaging, interactive and relevant format, it provides insightful analytics and reporting to HR, Learning and Business leadership. This critical data helps company leaders identify gaps, effect succession planning, better determine bench strength, target learning and guide more effective staffing requirements. SkillsMapper's new functionality will focus on providing employees an engaging and rewarding online learning experience with visual tools and graphics to help them understand where they rank within the organization and what courses are available to help develop their careers within the company.
SkillsMapper offers pre-loaded, bite-sized Master's level training courses that are broken into five different disciplines:
- Supply Chain
- HR Management
SkillsMapper features include:
- Simplified user interface
- Actionable training/development plans
- World-class learning and assessment content from Kelley School of Business
- Endorsements and rewards for course completion and engagement
- Multi-device compatibility to support tablet and mobile users
- Rich reporting and analytics for key company stakeholders
SkillsMapper's flexible, modular, scalable and actionable approach, can be integrated into an organization's existing career management and development framework, and can be deployed as a standalone or as an overlay application.
