Acclaimed guitarist and singer Malina Moye has joined the ensemble cast of indie film "The Samuel Project," shooting this month in San Diego. She will play a supporting role opposite Emmy and Tony award winner Hal Linden-best known for portraying the title role in the long running series "Barney Miller," and star of Disney's "Pair of Kings," Ryan Ochoa.

The ensemble cast also includes Mateo Arias, Ken Davitian, Michael B. Silver, and Philippe Bowgen. The Samuel Project is being directed by Marc Fusco, and produced by Steve Weinberger and Rebecca Reyes. Moye will be playing a bohemian sheik art director who befriends an outcast teen and his isolated grandfather.

Musically, As a recording artist, she has carved out her own lane among the new breed of Rock artists with her own unique blend of Funk and Rock. From honoring the Queen of England, playing on Experience Hendrix Tours, to honoring Chuck Berry at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Her recent album Rock and Roll Baby garnered three Billboard-charting singles on various charts in the Top 40.
