EMC2 Data Taps Michael Larssen, CMB, as Chief Executive Officer
EMC2 Data, a developer of regression analysis-based valuation technology, has appointed Michael "Mike" Larssen, CMB, as CEO. Larssen is responsible for leading the company as it helps to establish the new era of valuations.
"It was extremely important for us to assemble a team of individuals who not only possess mortgage industry knowledge, but also the vision to help us usher the industry forward in a manner that ensures we do not repeat the mistakes of the past," said Jim Silva, co-founder and chairman of the board for EMC2 Data. "Mike believes, as I do, that as we enter this next phase of the housing market, it is imperative that we establish more proactive and positive valuation best practices. I look forward to working with Mike in this game-changing venture."
Before Larssen joined EMC2 Data as CEO, he founded Larssen Consulting Group in Clearwater, Fla., a firm that specializes in solving strategic challenges for lenders and expanding originations via recruiting, mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, he was chief credit officer and national sales manager of Atlanta-based Correspondent One, where he was responsible for the credit policy, oversight of outsourced due diligence functions and business development. Larssen also was a founding member of St. Louis-based Lenders One Mortgage Cooperative, and was the company's EVP helping expand its membership to more than 250 members while generating streams of revenue from their aggregated $180 billion of volume in 2012. Earlier in his career, he was EVP at Mortgage Investors Group in Knoxville, Tenn., an originator with $2 billion of primarily retail annual volume and SVP at Columbia Home Loans in Valhalla, N.Y.
