The Eclipse AIR package enables more direct routessuch as those over waterreducing end-to-end circuit miles and, therefore, latency while maintaining the highest network reliability under all environmental conditions.

McKay Brothers LLC, an industry-leading telecom provider of private carrier services for latency sensitive applications, is the first carrier to deploy Eclipse AIR, now in service between Chicago and northern New Jersey. "AIR is exactly what we were looking for," says Bob Meade, PhD, co-founder of McKay Brothers, LLC. "Aviat Eclipse AIR is the first solution of its kind in the low latency market, allowing us to use fewer radio hops, enabling a direct route and delivering overall lower latency with higher availability."

"Achieving extremely low latency over long microwave links with high reliability requires expert product and network design engineering," says Ola Gustafsson, senior vice president, product and services portfolio management.
