Apple iPad Rumor Roundup 1/18: Demand Slowing for Full Size iPad?
According to Reuters this morning, Sharp, who is one of three companies supplying displaying panels for both the iPad and the iPad Mini has slowed production to 'minimal levels this month' for the full size iPad.
Analysts are saying this morning that this fuels previous speculation that the iPad mini has been hurting sales of the full-size iPad. Of course there's no word if any of the other manufacturers have stepped up production, or if this is in any way related to rumors of Spring-time product updates. It's also unknown how many of the panels the company already has is stock -- so there's a lot of smoke here, but little fire.
Earlier this week, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted in an investor analyst note that both the 5th Generation iPad and iPad mini will be released in the third quarter.
