Carr was most recently the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Services at Good Technology, and also held executive sales roles at Synopsys, Clarify and Simplex Solutions. As CRO, Carr will be responsible for all customer-facing areas, including sales, channels, business development, services, marketing and support for Appcelerator's U.S. and international operations.

At Synopsys, he ran Sales for the IP and Professional Services business lines, successfully growing the business over 15-fold in six years. Carr also served as the Vice President of Sales at Clarify and Simplex Solutions. Earlier in his career, he spent six years in various sales and management roles at Cadence Design Systems. Carr has a BS in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific.
