The Hill Country Community Theatre is pleased to announce that On the Rocks restaurant was the winner of the "Best of Show" for the theatre's first annual Taste of the Hill Country fundraiser. The event was held at the Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls on Tuesday, September 20 and featured twenty-one area restaurants, caterers and food vendors.

On the Rocks received a special engraved cutting board award. At the event, they served pulled pork nachos, warm crab gratin, house made margaritas and hummingbird cake cupcakes. The award for Best of Show was voted upon by those who attended the event.

This very successful fundraiser was put together by the Hill Country Community Theatre's board of directors with the help of many volunteers and local business sponsors. Over 200 people attended the event which raised over $9,500 for the non-profit. The monies raised will go towards the ever increasing costs of producing plays and musicals, as well as the theatre's educational and scholarship programs, and for necessary upkeep and repairs on their aging facility.

The Hill Country Community Theatre was founded in 1985 by Gigi Fischer and the late Phyl Holbert. The primary purpose of HCCT is to present and promote quality theatre activities and programs that entertain, educate and encourage community participation in the support of performance and related cultural arts.
