Wednesday nights in New Jersey this fall will be all about wine when the Garden State Wine Growers Association (GSWGA), a coalition of nearly 50 wineries and vineyards across the state, launches the "NJ Winedown Radio Show," on Greater Media's 1450 Talk Radio WCTC AM, the Voice of Central Jersey every Wednesday at 6 pm beginning October 12 and running through the end of 2016. The show will stream live on the WCTC website and also be available as a podcast.

Hosted by the GSWGA's Executive Director Tom Cosentino, the NJ Winedown Show will be a one-hour program that will feature interviews with wine makers, winery owners, wine bloggers and agricultural representatives in a show designed to educate the public about the growing wine industry in New Jersey. Guests on the debut show will be Laurin Dorman, Chair of the GSWGA and General Manager of Old York Cellars in Ringoes and Jim Quarella, owner of Bellview Winery in Landisville and President of the Outer Coastal Plain Association. The show is part of WCTC's Sound Advice nightly format of featuring a local one-hour program designed to give listeners the knowledge, information, and guidance to help make better decisions in their personal and professional lives. From financial guidance, to help with mortgages, as well as information on healthy living, WCTC's Sound Advice is where to turn for answers and now wine education will be part of the format.

"The GSWGA is dedicated to raising the quality and awareness of New Jersey wine and the NJ Winedown show will be a great way to provide the WCTC audience with the opportunity to learn more about the wine industry in the state," said Tom Cosentino, executive director of the GSWGA and host of NJ Winedown. "We are very pleased to have such a stalwart media partner as WCTC for this show. Together we look forward to spreading the word about the great award-winning wines being produced by our winemakers as we introduce many of them on the broadcast."

"Local New Jersey wines just might be the best-kept secret in our state", says Bert Baron, WCTC's Program Director and a member of the NJ Broadcaster's Association Radio Hall Of Fame. "But with 'The NJ Winedown Show' providing a weekly, fascinating, in-depth look at our wine industry, New Jersey's wine AND winemakers will receive the attention and praise have they truly long-deserved. Congratulations to the Garden State Wine Growers Association on this new, unique radio program. Cheers!"
