Morton's Grille on Park Avenue South near Gramercy Park offers their guests the best of all culinary worlds. Not only do they serve the finest steaks and accompaniments well known to Morton's Steakhouses, but they also offer tempting bistro fare including small plates and sandwiches and a great bar scene. Morton's Grille has something to please everyone in your party whether you stop by for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch.

Morton's Grille is a casually elegant restaurant that is perfect for family meals, friendly get-togethers, business gatherings and date night. This new hot spot in the neighborhood is convenient to Union Square, Madison Square Park and the Flatiron District.

They have a spacious bar with high-top tables and sports monitors where you can enjoy a drink and delicious fare while keeping up with your favorite teams. Stop by after work to unwind with their daily happy hour.

Wine connoisseurs will love that Morton's Grille has a million dollar wine cellar with an endless variety of fine selections. And with handcrafted cocktails and local beer choices, their beverage program is outstanding.

We visited on a weekday evening. The dining area is stylish with dark woods, roomy tables and deep, plushy booths. Our gracious and friendly server, Angel, was happy to explain the menu selections and make some suggestions.

We started the meal with their special warm bread and butter and a few appetizers. Morton's Grille has a great selection of sushi rolls including the tasty choice we enjoyed, the Crispy Veggie Roll. Salads come in both small and large portions. We sampled their wonderfully seasoned Beet Salad and Chopped House Salad. All their starters are perfect for table sharing like their spicy Buffalo Chicken Meatballs served with blue cheese and their tater tot nachos dubbed Tot'chos.

Morton's is tops at preparing prime meats. But there are also other highlights on the Grille menu that are just as pleasing like their Land & Sea, a savory blend of scallops, shitake mushrooms, braised short ribs and gnocchi and their ever-popular Shrimp and Grits. Sides are generous and you shouldn't miss the chance to have Smokey Joe's Mac 'N Cheese, creamy with just the right touch of smoked Gouda.

Be sure to save room to share a scrumptious dessert like their signature White Chocolate and Pecan Bread Pudding and relax over a cup of coffee or tea.

We had a chance to chat with the charming General Manager of Morton's Grille, Tomas Ruperto. He pointed out that in addition to the restaurant and bar spaces, Morton's has private rooms that can accommodate parties of all sizes from intimate gatherings to full-scale events.

We like that Morton's Grille has a good price point making them a choice location for regular dining or stopping by for a drink and a few "bar bites." And, with 4th of July this week, Morton's Grille has one of their regular holiday specials. Contact the restaurant for more delicious details.
