Tumulty's Pub is the essence of what a great pub should be. It's a spot where you can enjoy fine food and a great beverage program in a casual, attractive atmosphere. Centrally located in the heart of New Brunswick's entertainment district, it's an ideal destination for theatergoers, Rutgers University students and their families as well as local friends and neighbors.

Tumulty's is an iconic restaurant that was purchased and renovated in 2016 by Sheila and Richard Weber, owners of Brunswick Grove in East Brunswick. In fact, the Webers grew up in neighboring Highland Park and have always frequented Tumulty's. The eatery has been nicely modernized, but has retained the beloved charm that has been appealing to guests since the 1930's with cozy booths and a welcoming bar. Trains are a feature of the décor as New Brunswick is a popular travel hub in Central Jersey.

Tumulty's offers pub food and so much more with delicious selections that will please everyone in your party at a great price point. We stopped by early on a Sunday afternoon just before attending local theatre for lunch and drinks. Explore the menu. There's a fine array of starters like generous salads and other favorites like Wings, Quesadillas, Mozzarella Sticks and Nachos. Tumulty's is well known for their outstanding burgers and their "Pub Burger, a 10 ounce prime beef burger, is done to perfection topped with your choice of cheese. Other tempting sandwiches include the Tumulty's Reuben, expertly made and served with your choice of corn beef or smoked turkey along with cole slaw, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing on rye bread. All sandwiches, wraps and burgers are accompanied by French fries, cole slaw, and pickles or you can substitute sweet potato fries a small additional cost.

Tumulty's also offers a full menu of entrees like their savory Blackened Salmon, broiled or grilled and served with fresh veggies. Their delicious Chicken Murphy is a hearty spin on a classic recipe sautéed with potatoes, peppers and onions and served with fluffy rice. For those that enjoy a fine steak, perfectly seared, feast on Tumulty's King Cut or Queen Cut of Prime Rib served with soup or their Wedge Salad and a choice of rice, baked potatoes and fries.

Pair your meal with a beverage. Beer lovers will appreciate the vast selection of craft brews on tap, there's a good choice of wines, and the cocktail program is outstanding. Distinctive drinks include the New Brunswick Sunset, a house specialty with Smirnoff Raspberry, Chambord, and orange juice with rich, subtle flavors. Try the Honey Bourbon Smash. It's a harmonious and wonderfully mellow combination of Makers Mark, Stoli Vanilla, honey, and orange

One trip to Tumulty's will never be enough. You will be a regular at this charming pub in no time.
