Patriot Day 5K Honors Victims of 9/11 Nationwide
Patriot Day 5K has a very simple mission, and that is to educate people about Patriot Day. In 2002, Patriot Day was designated as a Day of Remembrance, honoring those killed by the terrorist attacks of September 11th. Unfortunately, more than a decade later, there are still many people across the United States who do not know about Patriot Day and what it means. We would like to change that. Through our Patriot Day 5K runs held in multiple cities throughout the country each year, we will be bringing awareness to Patriot Day and its meaning, and at the same time, bring communities together so that we can remember what it means to be an American, what it means to be Patriotic and what it feels like to want to make America better. We should Never Forget the victims and all those affected by September 11th, but more importantly, we believe that we should honor the victims and heroes of that day, by doing our part to make America a little bit better tomorrow, than it is today.
