Photo Coverage: Sarah Jessica Parker's Shoe Line SJP
The holidays are over and February magazines are starting to hit the stands containing more and more images of Sarah Jessica Parker's much anticipated shoe line, SJP.
SJP told Vogue in June, "In a silly way, I think it's what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw. It's sort of soup to nuts," Parker continues. "You put on a shoe and you put on a coat and you wear a bag and, on the outside, when you're walking down the street, they really can tell the same story about yourself."
The SJP line is launching exclusively at Nordstrom on February 28th and will retail from $195 to $485. WWD reported this fall that Nordstrom couldn't have been happier, as the well-thought-out line had plenty to offer. "I think color can be a neutral," said Parker, whose collection consisted of custom colors with names like asparagus, cherry, dove gray and her version of navy, which is more of a French navy. "People always have to ask their friends and husbands, 'Is this navy or black?' I want it to be clear."
Parker will be "visiting various Nordstrom stores when" the collection launches. See some of the new styles below including a t-strap pump named after SJP's iconic SATC character Carrie. It would be odd if there wasn't a shoe named Carrie, right?! Said Parker of the line, "I'm allergic to the idea that certain shoes are for certain occasions...It's too limiting. And as Pat Field taught me, toss out any rules. I sure did." To read the full article, pick up Glamour's Febraury issue on newstands.
