Christopher Kane to Replace Ghesquière at Balenciaga?

The Cut reported that the Le Nouvel Observateur said Christopher Kane will join Balenciaga starting December 1.  Le Nouvel Observateur does not source anyone however and there's been no confirmation from the designer or Balenciaga.  Le Nouvel Obserateur is comprable to The New Yorker and very respected in France.

If true, Kane will replace Nicolas Ghesquière as Creative Director.  And Balenciaga CEO Isabelle Guichot previously told WWD that a name would be announced "as soon as we're ready," adding, "We have a short list."

Stay tuned for more!
