New York City Ballet presents NEW BEGINNINGS on September 12, 2013. Filmed at sunrise on the 57th floor of 4WTC in lower Manhattan, this short film captures an extraordinary and moving performance of Christopher Wheeldon's After the Rain. It is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and a tribute to the future of the city that New York City Ballet calls home. Check out the video!

Created as both a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and a tribute to the future of the city that New York City Ballet calls home, Principal Dancers Maria Kowroski and Ask la Cour, perform an excerpt from Wheeldon's poignant pas de deux After the Rain, with One World Trade Center (previously known as the Freedom Tower) and the iconic New York City skyline as a backdrop, as dawn signals the beginning of a new day in New York City.
