Wonderbound is delighted to present Memories and Well Grounded Hopes, a world premiere performance choreographed by Artistic Director Garrett Ammon. This one-night-only production of Memories and Well Grounded Hopes will not only premiere Ammon's work but will also unveil all new music by the klezmer fusion band Hal Aqua and The Lost Tribe as well as Colorado College's own renowned Israeli-American composer Ofer Ben-Amots.

"We're really excited to be working with Garrett Ammon and Wonderbound. Garrett's dedication to thinking outside the box and working beyond boundaries is exactly in sync with our approach to traditional klezmer music, which we use as a beginning point to explore themes of spirituality and earthiness, and love in its many forms." said Hal Aqua, leader of The Lost Tribe.

This new project grew out of the acclaimed production, A Journey of the Human Spirit, which was presented in January, 2013 in collaboration with Central City Opera, The Colorado Symphony, The Mizel Arts and Culture Center and The Newman Center.

"Memories and Well Grounded Hopes has been one of those beautiful projects that organically grew out of another. Having had such wonderful experience with Ofer Ben-Amots and Hal Aqua while working on A Journey of the Human Spirit we couldn't help but begin discussing further possibilities." said Artistic Director, Garrett Ammon, "It is an honor to be working with such dedicated and knowledgeable musical artists who share our passion for creative exploration."

This very special performance will take place one night only at Colorado College's Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center and is free and open to the public.

"...this dance brings the story full circle and to a place of light and hope. Choreographed by Garrett Ammon and set to original music by Ofer Ben-Amots, this dance is transcendently complex, beautifully celebrating the best of the human spirit."

- Aleta Randall, The Boulder iJournal

"To that point, as the opera fades out, dancers manifest at the back of the stage, as if the ghosts...were reborn as a rekindling of the human spirit. Among the themes that Ammon develops, interdependency and trust stand out as particularly strong antidotes for the extremes of ego, separateness, and fear that enable fascism, whether it be embodied in The Emperor of Atlantis or some subtler and more insidious variety, such as we experience today."

-Bob Bows, Colorado Drama
