Wanda Sykes, Stamford Symphony, CT Ballet's CINDERELLA and More Set for 2013-14 Season at the Palace Theatre

"Our audiences have diverse tastes when it comes to programming so we do our best to satisfy those tastes with a wide variety of events," says Palace Theatre Executive Director, Michael E. Moran, Jr. "Comedy, music, dance, family events - we have it all this season, and we will continue adding shows as opportunities arise."

Comedy
Stamford's Palace Theatre is a fantastic venue for comedy, and this fall has its share of popular comedians on the slate: Wanda Sykes Sept. 20; Tracy Morgan Sept. 26; Artie Lange Oct. 19; Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood's "Two Man Group" Nov. 1; and Paul Reiser Nov. 2 (benefiting Mikey's Way Foundation).

Music
The Palace has rich traditions in music, both popular and classical. The Courtyard by Marriott Stamford Broadway/Cabaret/Jazz Series kicks off with "Stride Queen" Judy Carmichael and Crown Prince of Cabaret Steve Ross on Sept. 7 and continues with Christine Pedi & Johnny Rodgers Oct. 18;Cyrille Aimée & Freddy Cole Nov. 13; and Marilyn Maye & Houston Person Jan. 22. The Stamford Symphony also has their full schedule of Orchestra Classics concerts this season beginning Oct. 5-6 and then continuing Nov. 9-10, Feb. 8-9, March 1-2, and April 5-6. They will also be presenting two special concerts with John Pizzarelli on Dec. 8 for a holiday show and pianist Andre Watts on Apr. 26. Popular music also makes appearances with Beatlemania Now on Sept. 28; Michael W. Smith on Oct. 24; Almost Famous on Oct. 26 (benefit for Stamford Education 4 Autism); and Ricky Nelson Rememberedon Feb. 1.

Dance
The Connecticut Ballet returns to the HARMAN Stage with a full season of offerings including Cinderella Oct. 12, The Nutcracker Dec. 14-15 & 21-22, andGiselle May 3. Namaskaar Foundation - World on Stage continues their unique programming with the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble bringing traditional folk music and dance traditions to life on Nov. 7.

Family
The Palace also offers a variety of family programming including Laurie Berkner Band Oct. 20, Lightwire Theater's DINO-Lite Jan. 14, Masters of Illusion LIVE Feb. 6, and Sesame Street Live Apr. 15-16 (tickets go on sale in September).

In September, The Palace will also play host to Moffly Media's athome A-List Awards on Sept. 12, honoring the top projects in design, landscape, and architecture by firms across Fairfield County. November marks the return of the third annual Young Choreographers Festival performance on Nov. 17featuring original choreography by students ages 13-18. And Warren Miller Entertainment returns to Stamford with their new action-packed movie Ticket to Ride on Nov. 23 (tickets on sale Sept. 14).
