Verb Ballets Returns to Tremont's Arts Tonight

Verb Ballets returns to Lincoln Park in Tremont tonight August 8, 2014 at 8:30pm. This free performance is open to the public as part of Arts in August presented by Tremont West Development Corporation, LAND Studio, Cleveland Public Theatre and Councilperson, Joe Cimperman, Ward 3. Verb is honored to perform at Arts in August for their west side summer appearance. The program will push the envelope of classical dance in a way that each is appreciated by both new audience members and dance enthusiasts.

This evening program highlights the fun, beauty and power in dance. The show will features a series of duets from the Verb Ballets repertory. Each duet has been selected to highlight different dancers and showcase the technical abilities of each. Also, to reappear Dark Matter choreographed by Tommie-Waheed Evans returns to the stage with percussive driving energy and athleticism of the dancers. Plus other contemporary works in store on the program.

The mission of Arts in August is to expose the people of Tremont, Greater Cleveland and Cuyahoga County to the beauty and positive influence of the arts. Furthermore, it is our solid purpose to provide this exposure free of cost! Arts in August is a unique performance series. The four presenters include three nonprofits and a City Councilman; a true collaboration of unique partners. The four partnering presenters aim to specialize in building community in both the social and physical realms. Tremont West, LAND Studio, Cleveland Public Theatre and Councilman Joe Cimperman hold values in community and know the value in bringing the community together. What better way is there to bring a community together but around the arts!

Lincoln Park is located at W. 14th and Starkweather in Tremont. Guests are invited to bring blankets and/or a chair.
