On the heels of a successful first season, LONG LOST FAMILY returns for a second season and spinoff, LONG LOST FAMILY: WHAT HAPPENED NEXT. LONG LOST FAMILY, featuring deeply moving and heartfelt stories of people who have been separated for decades and are longing to be reconnected with lost loved ones, will premiere a second season on Sunday, February 12th at 9/8c. This season will feature those who have been haunted by the sudden disappearance of their parents, siblings that believe in each other's existence but have never had it confirmed, and parents who yearn to discover what became of the babies they reluctantly had to part with ages ago.

During each episode, hosts Chris Jacobs and Lisa Joyner, who are both adopted and have personal experience tracing their own biological family members, meet with people from a variety of backgrounds. The hope for each participant is to not only find their loved ones, but also help resolve numerous family mysteries, providing much needed answers to questions that have eluded them for so long. Whatever the outcome or circumstance, each reunion offers all parties the opportunity to resolve heartbreak and begin to repair the pain of the past, while providing viewers with the chance to witness the deep impact these lost relationships have had and the hope the reunions bring.

The spinoff series LONG LOST FAMILY: WHAT HAPPENED NEXT premieres on Sunday, January 15th at 10/9c and follows the journeys of what happens with participants after the reunions. Relationships become more complicated, new truths come to light, and never-before-known family members come forward. The spinoff tracks the developments in several of the most talked about stories featured in the first season.

Some incredible stories from LONG LOST FAMILY season two include:

Mary and Monica

Mary was 19 when her then six year-old sister Monica was placed for adoption. Their mother was declared unfit due to a dysfunctional lifestyle. One of the mother's suitors fired a gun in the house, which led to child protective services getting involved and separating Mary and her sister, despite all of Mary's efforts to gain custody of Monica.

Susan and Phyllis

Susan has been searching for her birth mother for nearly 30 years. Susan also wants to locate her daughter whom she placed for adoption shortly after birth-she dreams of having a relationship with both women and to finally have the mother-daughter relationships she's always wanted. The results of her search are a first for the series and heartbreakingly unexpected for Susan.

Joshua and Garrick

Joshua always knew his older brother was placed for adoption before his mom and dad married. His parents were too young to keep him at the time. Because Joshua's younger brother tragically committed suicide four years ago, Joshua's urgency to find his older brother and heal the void in his mother's heart intensified.

Ancestry, the global leader in family history and consumer genomics is teaming up with TLC as a partner of the upcoming season. LONG LOST FAMILY is produced by Shed Media (part of the unscripted/alternative television department at Warner Bros.) for TLC. Based on the format entitled Find My Family/Spoorloos, devised by KRO-NCRV and distributed by Lineup Industries.
