Let Tango embrace you when PAMAR presents "Shall We Tango, NYC," a festival of tango dance, music, master classes, film and theater, held in various NYC venues October 7-15.

Presentations will feature a stunning array of tango music and dance, including the Binelli-Ferman Duo (piano and bandoneon); Eddy Marcano; Quinteto Tango Leopoldo Federico from Colombia; GlamourTango (a tribute to the early women of tango); Facundo Posadas & Ching Pin de Posadas; Leandro Oliver & Laila Rezk; Dardo Galletto; Karina Romero; Mariana Parma; Mariana Galassi; and Silvana Brizuela, Ivan Ovalle and Gina Medina.

Pianist/producer Polly Ferman will next be seen in the November Buenos Aires production of Martha Clarke's "Cheri," starring Alessandra Ferri, Herman Cornejo, and Argentinian actress Norma Aleandro. The Uruguayan artist travels internationally with her own productions and as guest with symphony orchestras, most recently the Puerto Rico Symphony. (Her style of packing for travel was the subject of a Wall Street Journal feature, July 30, 2014.) Ferman founded PAMAR (Pan American Musical Art Research) thirty years ago to promote the richness and variety of Latin American arts. PAMAR sponsors Latin American Culture Week every November in NYC, featuring performances from Carnegie Hall to nightclubs of music, dance, theater, art exhibits, book readings, and art auctions. This year Ferman and PAMAR have added the celebration "Shall We Tango NYC." Ferman is also the creator/director of "GlamourTango," a stunning all-woman tango show that pays tribute to the early women of tango, performed in Argentina, Uruguay, San Francisco, Chicago, Montreal, and NYC.
