Roxey Ballet, a world-class, all-inclusive contemporary ballet company located in Lambertville, New Jersey, announces an exciting program for the 2016-2017 Season.

Roxey Ballet kicks off its 22nd year by announcing Fall and Spring Main Stage Performances and In-Studio events. The season will begin with Roxey Ballet's popular In-Studio events, leading up to the Halloween Community Engagement performance of "Frankenstein". The 22nd Annual Holiday Classic "Nutcracker" opens at the end of November. Spring performances include a collaboration with Princeton Pro Musica in "Carmina Burana", "Cinderella", and an exciting performance of Roxey Ballet's Healing Arts Project, "C-Word: Stories of Cancer Survivors".

From October 21 to October 30, Roxey Ballet will perform its annual Community Engagement Presentation just in time for Halloween. "Frankenstein" will be held at Canal Studio Theatre in Lambertville, New Jersey. Join Roxey Ballet to explore this frightfully entertaining, futuristic interpretation of Mary Shelley's novel. The ballet was conceived and staged by Lees Hummel and Stephen K. Stone, with an original music score by Michael Kallstrom. Tickets start at $37 and can be found on Roxey Ballet's website.

Roxey Ballet will perform its 22nd Annual American Holiday Classic "Nutcracker" at The College of New Jersey's Kendall Hall from November 26 to December 5. Join Clara and her friends on her enchanting voyage meeting magical mice, giant rats, marching soldiers, swirling snowflakes, waltzing flowers and the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy and her cavalier. Children should plan for a special visit from Santa and his jolly friends! A specially tailored, sensory-friendly performance will take place on December 3rd, and a school matinee performance, open to the public, will be offered on December 5th. Tickets start at $15. Group discounted rates are available for groups of 20 or more.

In addition to Main Stage Performances, Roxey Ballet hosts an In-Studio event series for all ages. These events include "Tutus and Tiaras", "Brown Bag and Ballet", and "Beer and Ballet". At "Tutus and Tiaras", young, aspiring ballerinas will listen to a famous ballet story, create their own tiara, play dance games, and watch a professional ballerina perform. "Beer and Ballet" is a 2-hour event open to adults ages 21 and over. During this "happy hour" event, participants will watch professional dancers in a warm-up class and rehearsals while tasting local beer. Seniors, retirement homes, and community groups are invited to bring a brown-bag lunch and spend the afternoon with Roxey Ballet for our "Brown Bag and Ballet" series. Spring 2017 Main Stage Performances will run from March 31-June 4th. Our spring performances will include "Carmina Burana", "Cinderella", and Roxey Ballet's Healing Arts Project, "C-Word: Stories of Cancer Survivors".
