Ross Dance Company to Present 2017 PRAISE DANCE CONCERT at Kala Art Institute

Ross Dance Company has announced its annual Praise Dance Concert at the Kala Art Institute and Gallery in Berkeley at 8 pm. Join Ross Dance for an evening of exhilarating movement danced in an intimate space to contemporary gospel music. This night of dance, art and music embodies the spirit of the Gospel and the transformation that it brings.

The evening will begin with a pre-show at 7:30 pm that includes live gospel music. The concert will start at 8 pm, featuring performances by Ross Dance along with guest artists Open City Dance, Purpose II Praise and spoken word artist Porsche Kelly. Enjoy a unique and invigorating concert that celebrates dance and the Good News by purchasing your tickets.

A portion of proceeds from this concert will be donated to Fresh Hope, a non-profit organization committed to empowering those with mental health challenges and supporting their loved ones. Fresh Hope provides resources and facilitate groups in a variety of churches across the country to help individuals live full and faith filled lives. Ross Dance will also host its 9th annual Bay Area Praise Dance Conference for youth and adult praise/liturgical dancers at Trillant Studios in Oakland on June 24th from 8:30-12:30 pm. As a dancer you will have the opportunity to connect with other ministries from all over the nation, take a variety of classes from professional instructors at Ross and engage in interactive workshops that will soar your dance ministry to new heights. Since 2005, Ross Dance has used jazz, modern and African styles of movement to bring the message of the Gospel to life. Founded by Dwight and Dr. Tecsia Evans, Ross Dance is a non-profit faith-based organization located in Oakland, CA. We reach over 125 churches and praise dance organizations each year through our youth/adult classes and conferences. We have also connected with over 4,000 audience members through our concerts and guest performances. Ross has performed in a variety of venues such as, Joyce Soho in New York and City of Refuge in Los Angeles, an internationally known ministry pastored by Bishop Noel Jones. Our team of staff, volunteers and professional dancers are dedicated to using their gifts to educate fellow dancers and to inspire communities nationwide.
