Repertory Dance Theatre's Link Series presents BRINE, a dance concert created by Sara Pickett, Symmer Andrews and Ashley Creek in the Leona Wagner Black Box Theater in the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center today and tomorrow, Sept. 16th and 17th at 7:30pm.

BRINE was conceived of by Andrews, Creek and Pickett as a creative collective to serve artists in the Salt Lake City area. Built as a vehicle for artists to share assets like rehearsal space, performers, sponsorships, marketing materials, etc., BRINE strives to provide a way for artists to present work who otherwise might not be able to do it on their own. We envision BRINE to continue to be a community organization for future creative endeavors.

The collective's first endeavor, also titled BRINE, is an evening length dance concert featuring work from four dance artists; Symmer Andrews, Ashley Creek Sarah Donohue and Sara Pickett. Andrews' "Verve" plays with the intersection of dance and science. Creek's work investigates how societal apathy has enabled a political climate that infringes upon our basic rights. Donohue plays within the realm of physical theatre while exploring elements of surprise through the interaction of two strangers. Pickett's works encapsulate high energy, contemporary movement with themes of joy and discovery. Creek and Andrews will also present a duet of two different perspectives on grief.

A gallery of prints by local visual artist Josh Kump will be on display outside of the theater during the run of the concert.

Tickets are available at arttix.org. $12.00 general admission and $10.00 for students and seniors with ID. For more information visit www.facebook.com/brinearts.
