WHAT: Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT) and Discovery Children's Museum present "All Things Nutcracker," featuring specially planned children's programming in celebration of NBT's all-new production of The Nutcracker that debuted last year at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

Beginning today, December 7, museum visitors will witness exhibits that feature Nutcracker-inspired themes and content, such as The Nutcracker -Fun through Dance and Movement, The Nutcracker - Fun with Characters and Set Design and A Celebration of The Nutcracker Ballet, creating an added holiday experience for children and families. Mini-performances and meet and greets with the characters can be seen throughout the month and some days will end with a special "conga line" led by the Nutcracker himself.

Discovery Children's Museum attendees as well as members of the museum will receive special offers and promotions to NBT'sThe Nutcracker, December 14 - 22 at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

WHEN: Friday, November 29, 2013 - Friday, January 3, 2014.

This December step into a world where your imagination is unleashed and fairy tales whisk you away into Nevada Ballet Theatre's fantastical and original production of The Nutcracker. The first production of its kind built for Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, Nevada Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker features grand sets, costumes and choreography by Artistic Director James Canfield.

The all-new DISCOVERY Children's Museum at the Donald W. Reynolds Discovery Center addresses its core educational areas of science, art and culture and early childhood development with 26,000 square feet of interactive hands-on exhibits. The 3-story museum is complete with nine interactive exhibition galleries featuring traveling exhibitions, daily programs, demonstrations and activities, and special events and collaborative cultural programming for all occasions.
