The National Ballet of Canada today announced that six longstanding volunteers of the organization will be recognized with Ontario Volunteer Service Awards for their significant contributions to the National Ballet at a ceremony on April 20, 2017.

This year's Ontario Volunteer Service Award recipients include National Ballet's Board of Directors members Marlene Delzotto and Jerry Lozinski (15 years), former Board Chair and current Endowment Foundation Board of Directors member Sue Matthews (15 years), Turnout Young Professionals' Programme member Marisa Ortega (15 years) and office volunteers Linda Campbell (20 years) and Ria Hoff (20 years).

The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards, sponsored by the Government of Ontario, recognize volunteers who provide committed and dedicated service to an organization. Individuals are acknowledged for their length of service to specific organizations, which nominate volunteers for award consideration. Following the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration's review of all nominees and confirmation of award winners, recipients are recognized at award ceremonies across Ontario.

Recipients will be honoured in Toronto at a ceremony at Arcadian Court and will receive a stylized trillium service pin and a personalized certificate to acknowledge their years of service; the ceremony will coincide with Canada's National Volunteer Week, April 23 - 29, 2017.
