MOMIX to Bring REMIX to Joyce Theater, 12/17-1/5

Moses Pendleton's wildly popular MOMIX will return to The Joyce Theater for three-weeks this holiday season with reMIX, a collection of the company's most striking images from over 30 years of work from December 17 - January 5. This holiday season, enjoy the exciting treat of MOMIX, Moses Pendleton's awe-inspiring company of dancers, as it takes to The Joyce Theater stage with reMIX, a mixed program of the most beautiful and popular pieces in the company's vast repertoire perfect for all audiences. Since the early 1980's, audiences have been mesmerized as founding director Pendleton transformed the extraordinary dancers of MOMIX into desert flora and fauna, floated them magically through surreal extraterrestrial terrains, strapped them into snow skis for a downhill pas de deux, or hurled them through the air like baseballs. In this return to The Joyce Theater, MOMIX will present a collection of their most memorable and gravity defying pieces including selections from their mega-hits: Orbit, Lunar Sea, Opus Cactus and Botanica. As always, Pendleton's creations are sure to surprise, seduce and stimulate.
