Bold, rich in texture, and visually theatrical. Valerie Green's work intertwines an extreme exploration of human behavior, while exhibiting raw physicality mixed with human vulnerability. Dynamic images feature unexpected interactions that will leave you on the edge of your seat. The evening will feature two premiere works; Hinge an abstract group dance for six dancers, accompanied by original music played lived on stage in collaboration with MuSE, Multicultural Sonic Evolution and a solo, performed by Valerie Green, Womb, a muli-tmedia work in collaboration with artist Rodney Zagury. Plus Skimming the Surface: Fragments of Collective Unconscious (2013) an intense theatrical work centered around a table and 24 knives. Choreography by Valerie Green, Performed by Emily Diers, Laureen Elizabeth, Hana Ginsburg Tirosh, Valerie Green, Kristin Licata, Yayoi Suzuki & Raleigh Veach, Costumes by Deborah Erenberg, Boris Caksiran, Lighting by Melody Beal.

Dance Entropy is a professional not-for-profit modern dance company founded in 1998. The company performs in NYC, tours and teaches both domestically and abroad, while featuring a multi-ethnic cast of 9 talented dancers. Dance Entropy supports the vision of Artistic Director Valerie Green, who creates stage and site-specific work. A significant part of the company's mission is to use creation, performance, and education in locations and communities where the content of the work will have the greatest impact. The company created their home studio, Green Space in LIC, Queens in 2005.
