The Osaka-based Keiko Fujii Dance Company, joined by select dancers from New York City, will present her new "Soul Vibrations" (Tamashii no Hibiki), a collaboration with renowned Taiko drummer Kenny Endo, who will perform at the May 20 & 21 performances, and Kaoru Watanabe, a former member of KODO, who will appear May 22nd. Performances are at the 92nd St. Y/Buttenwieser Hall, Lexington Avenue & 92nd Street. "Soul Vibrations" looks into people's minds and encourages a return to "The Power of Love," which is in danger of neglect in a materialistic world.

Keiko Fujii, a popular figure in Osaka, is the director and choreographer for her Keiko Fujii Dance Company, founded over thirty years ago. She also directs the thriving Studio K, which provide training in ballet, modern, contemporary and jazz dance. She has been a frequent guest artist at the University of Hawaii Department of Theatre and Dance, where she also performs, choreographs, and holds workshops. Keiko is especially noted for her ability to fuse elements of modern and jazz dance with Japanese cultural themes.

The Keiko Fujii Dance Company gives regular seasons at home in Japan, and has performed in New York, Chicago, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
