Seating dancers and audience members together at banquet tables, ROMP provides a familiar setting for everyday interactions to transform and create an increasingly surreal and hyper-expressive world. The San Francisco Chronicle named ROMP one of the Bay Area's "Top 10 Dance Moments of 2011." levydance.org

Chicago-based Molly Shanahan/Mad Shak explores the artist's water-like vocabulary within a testosterone-laced environment and asks 'where is the intersection between ferocity and fragility?' Juxtapositions abound-the "coffee is for closers" rant from Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross; a mash up of Bohemian composer Biber with lewd '90s rap, lip-syncing; and an imitation of Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men. madshak.com

Performed by Alexandra Beller/Dances, other stories is a collection of interwoven movement events that highlight the friction between stories. When we are confronted, particularly within an intimate relationship, with a story that diverges from ours, how do we deal with that friction against our reality? Created in collaboration with legendary rock musician/composer Robert Poss and celebrated dramaturg Katherine Profeta, other stories is a layered multimedia performance that triggers memory, emotion, and heightened awareness through deeply personal and evocative movement. alexandrabellerdances.org
