Jimmy Kimmel will return to host this year's star-studded EMMY AWARDS, live from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles airing on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 (7:00-11:00 p.m. EDT/4:00-8:00 p.m. PDT), on the ABC Television Network.

Audra McDonald and Bryan Cranston reprise their Tony-winning roles for HBO

This year's nominees include a host of Broadway stars and theater-related shows, many of whom have already racked up trophies at the Creative Emmy Award ceremony. Last weekend, it was announced that Broadway vet Peter Scolari received an award in the category of Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his portrayal of Lena Dunham's dad on HBO's GIRLS. A Creative Emmy went to THE WIZ LIVE's costume designer and Tony Award winner Paul Tazewell (HAMILTON), while GREASE LIVE garnered an impressive 4 Emmy Awards, including a nod for Special Class Program.

This Sunday night's live broadcast will also feature a plethora of theater folks up for Emmy wins, including 6-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, who reprised her award-winning performance as Billy Holiday in HBO's LADY DAY, Bryan Cranston, who also replicated his outstanding Tony winning performance in HBO's ALL THE WAY, fan fave Tituss Burgess, who once again received a nom for his hilarious role on Netflix UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, and 2-time Tony Award winner Judith Light, for her moving performance on Amazon's TRANSPARENT.
