Gelsey Kirkland Ballet is thrilled to announce that the second program of its 2016/2017 season,Eternal Spring - The Arrows and Errors of Eros, will be presented Friday, March 24 at 7:30pm,Saturday, March 25 at 7:30pm, and Sunday, March 26 at 2pm, with a preview performance onThursday, March 23 at 7:30pm. Performances will take place at Gelsey Kirkland Ballet's theater,The GK ArtsCenter, located at 29 Jay Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn (previously home to Saint Ann's Warehouse) with tickets starting at $20.

Eternal Spring - The Arrows and Errors of Eros features a mixed bill program of neoclassical and classical ballet, including several masterpieces by famed Russian choreographer Leonid Yakobson, most widely known in the west for choreographing Baryshnikov's prize winning performance ofVestris.

From the joy and eros of Yakobson's Eternal Spring (based on the Rodin sculpture of the same name) to the broad comedy of his Village Don Juan, the program explores the visions and delusions of romantic love from different angles - from the sublime, to the ridiculous.

This exciting mixed-bill program also includes the return of Yakobson's The Jewish Wedding, which tells the story of the poor groom whose pregnant lover is forced to marry into a wealthier family in front of everyone in the shtetl - including the Fiddler, the Piper, the Rabbi and, of course, the town gossip.

The program also includes the return of Leonid Lavrovsky's Walpurgis Night - the famed Bachanalian scene from Charles Gounod's Faust in which virgins, satyrs, Pan and Roman patricians celebrate the festival of Bacchus, culminating in an orgy-tastic finale.

Rounding out the evening is Marus Petipa's Talisman (set to the music of Riccardo Drigo) and the glorious Melodia by Bolshoi choreographer Kasyan Goleizovsky.

Tickets for Eternal Spring - The Arrows and Errors of Eros start at just $20 and are available for purchase at www.gelseykirklandballeteternalspring.brownpapertickets.com
