EISENHOWER DANCE, Michigan's premier contemporary dance company, presents its popular program RED, HOT AND BLUE at Wharton Center on February 12, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. RED, HOT AND BLUE includes works by EISENHOWER Artistic Director Laurie Eisenhower and choreographers Michael Foley and Ron de Jesus, including: "Threads," a dance expressing intimacy, passion, and introspection through an ever-evolving series of duets and solos; "Better Places," a fun and bluesy work; and "The Show," a piece inspired by the work of Federico Fellini, whose films depict life as a circus. The performance is completed by Ron de Jesus's "Begin with the End in Mind," a beautiful and romantic work full of interconnected lifts that test the strength and grace of the dancers. Tickets are available online at whartoncenter.com, at the Auto-Owners Insurance Ticket Office, or by calling 1-800-WHARTON.

The company's concert schedule takes it to theaters across the United States and as far as St. Petersburg, Russia. Eisenhower Dance has received numerous grants and awards for its work including support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Kresge Foundation, the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, and the National Dance Project, to name a few.
