Dance Currents Inc. is presenting "Chaos or Connection: Living the Legacy of Modern Dance." This event is designed to pique your interest in the preservation, use and future adaptability of Modern Dance Repertory. We will be presenting scenes from a movie in the making, "Living the Legacy of Modern Dance," historical and current repertory and a panel discussion on the current and future state of Modern Dance.

"Chaos or Connection" will be presented today, March 17, 2013 from 3-5pm at Green Street Studios, 185 Green Street, Cambridge, Mass.

Some of the participants are Marcus Schulkind, former dancer with Lar Lubovitch, Kathy Posin and Batsheva Dance Company; Margot Parsons, former dancer with Yuriko, Anna Sokolow and Agnes DeMille; Lorry May, former dancer with Anna Sokolow; Rebecca Rice, Bill Evans and Jose Limon; Laura Bennett, director of American Dance Legacy Institute and Elizabeth Waterhouse, dancer with William Forsythe, and former student of Marcus Schulkind. Iris Fanger, dance historian and dance writer for many publications including Dance Magazine will be moderating the panel.

Jennifer Burpee will perform "Narcissus" by Isadora Duncan, Dance Currents dancers will perform "Battle Etude", Liann Lim will dance "Limon Etude" to the Schubert Lieder, "Gretchen at the Spinning Wheel", and Marcus Schulkind will present a solo danced by Elizabeth Waterhouse.
