Cynthia King Dance Studio hosts Brooklyn-Queens Day Dance-a-thon Today

Cynthia King Dance Studio will host a Brooklyn-Queens Day Dance-a-thon today, June 5 from 12:00-4:00 PM. The free event for both children and adults will feature a photo booth with costumes and a chance for dancers to mark their footprints on the CKDS Walk of Fame. Faculty members will lead dances in Hip Hop, African, Contemporary, and Breakdancing as they build up to a Brooklyn-style Dance-Off with prizes. The Brooklyn-Queens Day Dance-a-thon takes place at the new Cynthia King Dance Studio Flatbush location at 21 Snyder Avenue, between Flatbush and Bedford Avenues.

"What better way to celebrate our favorite borough than with non-stop dancing!" said Director Cynthia King. "We're excited to invite friends and neighbors into our new spacious dance center."

A vital part of Brooklyn's rich dance culture since 2002, Cynthia King Dance Studio promotes traditional dance training and innovative live performance. The CKDS curriculum embraces classical to emerging styles, inspiring dancers to strive for both technical excellence and meaningful artistry. Students experience real-world performance opportunities, participating in numerous local events as well as a stunning annual series of CKDS dance concerts staged in professional venues. CKDS prioritizes individual attention, innovative performance and community involvement to create a unique and personally rewarding experience for all of its dancers and their families.
