Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet will present a new installation with original live music by the sensational duo Chargaux at the company's West Chelsea Theater for four performances on February 6 & 7. Conceived and directed by Artistic Director, Alexandra Damiani, this new installation is choreographed by several Cedar Lake dancers showcasing their unique artistic voices in a collaborative piece for the 16-member company.

Cedar Lake's installations bridge the gap between dancer and audience by creating an interactive environment within the space. Audiences are encouraged to follow the dancers and view the performance from different vantage points, making the experience more akin to a walk through an art gallery than a traditional performance.

This intimate new piece will feature choreography by nine dancers including Jon Bond, Joaquim de Santana, Vânia Doutel Vaz, Joseph Kudra, Matthew Rich, Ida Saki, Rachelle Scott, Ebony Williams, and Madeline Wong. Live original music will accompany the dancers performed by Charly and Margaux, the violin and viola duo, popularly known as Chargaux. These two Brooklyn-based artists perform original orchestral and electronic works, reworking the traditional classical sound into an infectious fusion of jazz and R&B.

Performances are Friday, Feb 6 and Saturday, Feb 7, twice nightly at 7pm & 9pm. Tickets are $35 for this non-seated event. To order tickets, please visit Event Brite at www.eventbrite.com. Cedar Lake is in the heart of the Chelsea Gallery District at 547 West 26th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues.
