After more than thirty years, the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company is coming home. The Morris Museum is pleased to announce that the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company will perform at the Bickford Theatre on Sunday, October 26 at 2:00pm. A pre-concert reception will take place at 12:30pm.

For more than three decades, the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company (CDDC) has entertained and inspired audiences with evocative dances that reveal the individual uniqueness and ultimate commonality of the human experience. The eleven-member, multi-ethnic group will immerse the senses and thrill the spirit in a performance that will honor those that originally helped launch the Company - Morris Arts and the Morris Museum.

The Homecoming to the Bickford concert will feature the CDDC's newest techno savvy tour de force, Interior Designs. Incorporating a commissioned score and original video projections, Interior Designs will transform the entire theatre into a stage that will reveal the internal and external worlds of both performer and spectator. Also included will be an excerpt of Love Suite Love. This piece, a nostalgic ode to youthful romance, will enchant audiences with the bittersweet love songs of Patsy Cline. The program will conclude with an excerpt of Doug Elkins' ode to love, Narcoleptic Lovers. Using the choreographer's signature eclectic, and often, hilarious movement vocabulary, the work draws on modern, hip-hop, ballet and martial arts with an equally broad range of music.

Don't miss your chance to see the company described as "ingenious" by The Star-Ledger and "emotionally resonant" by The New York Times.

Tickets may be purchased by phone at (973) 971-3706, or in person at the Bickford Theatre Box Office. The Bickford Theatre is an integral part of the Morris Museum, located at 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown, NJ, and offers free parking and full accessibility. Box Office hours for phone sales are Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 5:00pm. Walk-up hours are Tuesday through Friday, 11:00am to 5:00pm.
