CHARLOTTE'S WEB, Jessica Lang Dance, THE QUEENS BEES and More Set for Queens Theatre's 2015 Season

Following the success of The World's Fair Plays, a New York Times Critics Pick, and a "glorious" production of A Christmas Carol (Times Ledger), Queens Theatre (QT) is excited to announce its Winter/Spring Season. Performances begin on Sunday, February 8 with a family series show, E.B. White's Charlotte's Web.

Performances are at 1pm & 3pm at Queens Theatre (14 United Nations Avenue South, Flushing Meadows Corona Park). Single Ticket: $14, Member price: $12.60, Family Flex Pass: $100 for 10 tickets to Family Series shows in the 14-15 Season. Tickets can be purchased at queenstheatre.org or by calling (718) 760-0064. "The programming this winter and spring is an exciting mix of the familiar and the new. Ballet Hispanico is returning to QT, while two other extraordinary dance companies - Jessica Lang Dance and Patricia Kenny Dance - are making their Queens Theatre debuts. Our four Family Series shows are all based on beloved children's books, and we are presenting a major production of a new musical, The Queen Bees, about a sixties girl group. Steve Solomon will be back with My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish, and I'm STILL in Therapy - the sequel to the fantastic show he performed here last year. Bill Blagg will thrill and surprise audiences with his magic. There is entertainment for all audiences" said Queens Theatre Managing Director Taryn Sacramone.

Theatreworks' Charlotte's Web is based on E.B. White's story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. This treasured tale, featuring mad-cap and endearing farm animals, explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship.

PKDC's 2015 Spring Collection features work that explores a range of emotions as they relate to human interaction and experiences with the divine. The audience is taken on a journey through multifaceted relationships highlighting in particular, the theme of destiny that Patricia Kenny embodies in her premiere work entitled "Kismet." Kenny and guest choreographers Charlotte Griffin and Katarzyna Skarpetowska employ various styles of dance reveling in line, design, fearless athleticism and grace to realize the themes of birth, loss, unity, and serendipity. From witty and whimsical to driving and impactful, the textured choreography has something to offer every audiences.

"Cows that type? Hens on strike! Whoever heard of such a thing!" When his granddaughter Jenny comes for a visit, Farmer Brown declared the farm a "tech-free zone." So the cows go on strike and the chickens join them in solidarity. A hilariously "mooooo-ving" musical based on the book by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin.
