CBS's THE TALK Delivers Its Largest Second Quarter Audience

CBS's THE TALK delivered its largest-ever second quarter audience, according to Nielsen most current ratings for second quarter 2016. THE TALK averaged 2.78 million viewers, up +9% from a year ago (from 2.55m), and remained even in both women 25-54 (0.9) and women 18-49 (0.6).

THE PRICE IS RIGHT 1 delivered 4.90 million viewers, its largest second quarter audience since 2003 and up +4% from last year (from 4.72m) while registering demographic gains of +9% in women 25-54 (1.2 from 1.1) and +13% in women 18-49 (1.0 from 0.8).

THE PRICE IS RIGHT 2 averaged 5.62 million viewers, a +4% increase from a year ago (5.21m) and its largest quarterly audience since 2007.

CBS's Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show THE TALK features a panel of well-known news and entertainment personalities discussing current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, family, celebrity and the trending topics of the day. The daily one-hour series is hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood. The hosts swap stories, challenge each other on issues and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes. Show segments include guest interviews with entertainers and newsmakers, musical performances, cooking demos with celebrity chefs as well as real-world advice and tips from leading experts in fitness, diet, health, home, relationships, finance and fashion. The show was developed by Gilbert, who also serves as executive producer along with John Redmann.
