Ballet in Cinema Presents An Evening with Sol Léon and Paul Lightfoot, 2/3

On behalf of Ballet in Cinema, from Emerging Pictures, you are invited to attend the HD performance of "An Evening with Sol Léon and Paul Lightfoot" from the Nederlands Dans Theater this Sunday, February 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. at BIG Cinemas Manhattan Theater, 239 East 59th Street. "SH-Boom" - (Contains male frontal nudity.) The humorous ballet was created in 1994 and is set to the music of Vera Lynn and Stan Freberg, where men in love try to impress women. The original version has been adapted and updated several times; this version has never been performed before. The ballet was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Production of the Year.

"Shoot the Moon" - Here, audiences catch glimpses of the love life of three different couples. Revolving walls with striking black-and-white wallpaper create three separate rooms, each containing its own love story. The door to the other room always seems to be open and through the window a new world beckons.

"Same Difference" - (Contains female frontal nudity.) A theatrical piece created in 2007, the
performance lets the dance speak not only figuratively, but literally as well. The dance idiom of the choreographers is given an extra dimension that "fits like a glove" according to the Dutch newspaper "Algemeen Dagblad." Set to music by Philip Glass, this ballet pulls the spectator into a surrealistic world where the chaos of the human ego is all too apparent.
