Atlantic City Ballet to Perform at The Celebrity Theater in The Claridge Hotel Starting This August

Now visitors and residents of Atlantic City can DO BALLET! After its triumphant return to Atlantic City this March, the Atlantic City Ballet is proud to announce they will be performing at The Celebrity Theater in the newly renovated Claridge Hotel starting August 2014. As they begin their 32nd season, the ballet finally has a performance home right in the heart of the city. They'll kick off their season with a special matinee performance of Sleeping Beauty on August 16th. After that the ballet will perform one weekend a month at the Claridge ending the first half of their season with a 6 day run of Nutcracker. "We're so delighted to finally have a performance home here in the city" says Ms. Papa, Founding Artistic Director. "The Edwards Twins, who are performing at the theater and also running the theater invited us to share their new home and we accepted!"

The 2014 performance line up will bring back audience favorites, Dracula and Nutcracker but the company will add a new ballet, "Ballet Goes Broadway" which will premier in August. Rounding out the performance list will be an evening of ballets with music from various parts of the world entitled "Visions" and the Radio City-esque holiday revue "It's A Shore Holiday", which wowed audiences when it premiered last holiday season. One of the things a permanent home allows for is being able to offer a subscription to all of the ballet's performances. The ballet will offer a regular subscription for all 6 shows and a Mini subscription where you can pick any 3 shows. Both subscriptions will have discounted ticket prices. There will also be discounts for groups of 10 or more. Tickets go on sale May 24th and can be purchased through Ticketmaster, the Celebrity Theater box office and the Atlantic City Ballet web site.
