On Friday, February 12, 2016 at 5:15 p.m., American Repertory Ballet (ARB) will host Spring Repertory Preview, an On Pointe event featuring exclusive performances by the professional dancers of American Repertory Ballet, previewing never-before-seen works. This event will be held at ARB's Princeton studios at 301 North Harrison Street (above McCaffrey's Supermarket).

ARB dancers will showcase excerpts of pieces they will perform at venues across New Jersey this spring, including ARB Resident Choreographer Mary Barton's new work set to Beethoven's Symphony No. 7. ARB will perform this world premiere in full on April 8 as part of its Masters of Dance and Music program at McCarter Theatre. This Spring Repertory Preview On Pointe will be a special chance for the public to see excerpts of this work for the first time.

In addition to the dancing, Artistic Director Douglas Martin will lead a discussion about the work presented, providing a unique inside look at the creative process.

ARB launched On Pointe in October 2010 as part of the organization's larger strategy to make ballet more accessible to the community. On Pointe allows the community to interact with the acclaimed artists and collaborators involved with ARB in an intimate setting.
