John Morayniss, Chief Executive Officer, Entertainment One Television (eOne), today announced the promotion of current Senior Vice President, Operations & Business Development Jeff Lynas to the position of Chief Operating Officer, eOne Television.

In his expanded role, Lynas takes on oversight of all day-to-day operations for eOne Television on a global basis. He will also continue in his business development capacity, establishing and structuring new business relationships for eOne Television across production, distribution and digital.

"I've had the privilege of working with Jeff for many years and I say with certainty that there's no better person for the job," said Morayniss. "He has been instrumental in the strategy development, growth and success of eOne Television, and was a key member of the leadership team of its predecessor Blueprint. Jeff is forward-thinking, understands the US and international markets and plots how best to make it all work for our business."

"This is a very exciting time for eOne Television and I'm delighted to take on this new role," said Lynas. "We're now working with so many of the most talented creative and well-regarded producers in the world and we're looking at ways to further grow and strengthen our original pipeline and distribution infrastructure to bring more opportunities to those partners. eOne has grown exponentially over the last several years, and the best is yet to come."

Lynas reports directly to Morayniss and continues to be based in Los Angeles. He joined eOne in September 2008 when the company acquired Blueprint Entertainment, where he held the role of Senior Vice President. Prior to eOne's acquisition of Blueprint for which Lynas served as an integration lead, he played a key role in establishing the business in the US and building invaluable industry relationships with producers and broadcasters. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of US Sales at Alliance ATLANTIS where he was responsible for sales of the company's extensive library to US broadcast and cable networks as well as home entertainment. Additionally, Lynas managed the Canadian English-language Feature Film Fund at Telefilm Canada.

With core operations in Canada, the US, the UK and Australia as well as sales capabilities worldwide, eOne produces and distributes a diverse slate of award-winning, critically acclaimed programming across all genres, and has a proven track record in delivering successful long running series. In addition to handling international distribution for epic AMC series THE WALKING DEAD and its companion series Fear The Walking Dead, hit original shows from the company include HELL ON WHEELS for AMC, ROGUE for DirecTV, WELCOME TO SWEDEN for NBC, ROOKIE BLUE for ABC, HAVEN and Bitten for Syfy, the miniseries KLONDIKE for Discovery and The BOOK OF NEGROES for BET, as well as Saving Hope, NELLYVILLE and Mary Mary, among others. In addition, the company's slate includes a number of highly successful series coming out of its output relationship with AMC and SundanceTV including Into the Badlands, Making of the Mob: New York, Halt and Catch Fire, Turn and The Red Road.
