Yakov Smirnoff Brings HAPPILY EVER LAUGHTER to ACME Comedy Hollywood Theater Through 9/28
Yakov Smirnoff, Happily Ever Laughter
Russian born comedian Yakov Smirnoff returns to LA after an absence of many years with his one-man show, "Happily Ever Laughter," playing at ACME Comedy Hollywood Theater through September 28th. The New York Timescalled the show "warmhearted, delightful, and splendidly funny," in the same classic Smirnoff style that's been winning over audiences for years.
The ACME Theatre is located at 135 N. La Brea Avenue. Performances are every Saturday in September - 7, 14, 21 and 28 at8:00PM. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and can be purchased online at www.yakov.com or by phone at (877) 779-2568.
Yakov's brilliant humor has always helped the causes close to his heart: in the 1980s, his sidesplitting stand-up helped end the Cold War between America and Russia; now his goal in this new production is to "End the Cold War in the Bedroom" by showcasing the joy of laughter in relationships. As always, Yakov will leave us in stitches while guiding us in how to fall in love all over again and live happily ever laughter.
In his latest endeavor, "Happily Ever Laughter," Smirnoff takes his comedy to a new level to showcase laughter's effects on relationships and create a world where sadness and tears are replaced with love and laughter. Yakov laughingly admits, "I want smuggle consciousness into relationships, gift-wrapped in laughter."
Smirnoff's funny philosophies can be traced back to Missouri State University and Drury University where he was a professor who taught courses on relationships. He received his master's degree in psychology from the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania and is also best-selling author.
