Emmy Award-winning comedian Dana Carvey brings the laughs to the Fred Kavli Theatre on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 8:00 pm.

Comedian Dana Carvey has maintained an illustrious career, becoming a regular on Saturday Night Live in 1986, and staying for seven very successful seasons to establish his best known characters: The Church Lady, Hans from body building duo Hans and Franz, Grumpy Old Man, and Garth, the most excellent co-host to Mike Myers in the immensely popular Wayne's World.

In addition, Carvey has also received widespread praise for his uncanny comedic impersonations of such political figures as H. Ross Perot, Presidents George and George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, and Barak Obama, as well as Johnny Carson, Andy Rooney, and Regis Philbin.

In 1992 Carvey appeared in the blockbuster film Wayne's World, based on the hit Saturday Night Live sketch. The film grossed over $160 million and was produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels. The public demanded a sequel and in 1993 Carvey appeared in Wayne's World 2, recreating his role of Garth, alongside Mike Myers' Wayne.

Carvey won an Emmy Award in 1993 for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program. He has received six Emmy nominations one of which was for a guest appearance on HBO's highly acclaimed Larry Sanders Show. He has also been honored with The American Comedy Award as Television's Funniest Supporting Male in 1990 and 1991.
