During last night's opening credits, Bart could be seen at the chalkboard writing "We'll really miss you Mrs. K", while the closing credits included the caption, "In loving memory of Marcia Wallace." Check out the clip below!
Marcia Wallace passed on October 25, 2013 at the age of 70 won an Emmy in 1992 for her work with The Simpsons. She also played cartoon characters in The Angry Beavers, Aladdin, Captain Planet and the Planeteers, Darkwing Duck and more.
Wallace's live-action, small screen roles include 'Annie Wilkes' on the daytime soap The Young and the Restless, a nurse on 7th Heaven, 'Maggie Hawley' in That's My Bush!, 'Mrs. Carruthers' on Full House, 'Carol Kester' on The Bob Newhart Show and more.
Wallace also appeared on several game shows early in her career, including The Hollywood Squares, Card Sharks, Password Plus, Hot Potato, Body Language, Celebrity Double Talk, The (New) $25,000 Pyramid and Super Password.
Onstage, Wallace appeared in regional productions of An Almost Perfect Person, Same Time Next Year, Twigs, It Had To Be You, Supporting Cast, Prisoner of Second Avenue, Plaza Suite, Gypsy, Promises, Promises, Born Yesterday, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Steel Magnolias, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, and off-Broadway's The Vagina Monologues, as well as a tour of the female version of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple.
