USA Network's Acclaimed Drama MR ROBOT Garners Six Emmy Nominations

usa network and Universal Cable Productions' hit drama series MR. ROBOT received six Primetime Emmy® nominations from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, including a series nomination for Outstanding Drama Series, a nomination for Rami Malek for Lead Actor in a Drama Series and a nomination for Sam Esmail for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series. The full list is below.

This marks the first Outstanding Drama series nomination for both usa network and Universal Cable Productions, and Malek's first Emmy® nomination.

MR. ROBOT, currently airing its second season on USA Network, follows Elliot Alderson (Malek, "The Pacific"), a cyber-security engineer who becomes involved in the UNDERGROUND hacker group fsociety, after being recruited by their mysterious leader (Slater, "Nymphomaniac"). The series also stars Portia Doubleday ("Her"), Carly Chaikin ("Suburgatory") and Martin Wallström ("Simple Simon").

MR. ROBOT has also received three Golden Globe® Award nominations and two wins including Best Drama, a Peabody Award, four Critics' Choice® Award nominations and three wins, and two Writers Guild® Award nominations and one win for Best New Series.

MR. ROBOT hails from writer and executive producer Sam Esmail ("Comet"), as well as Anonymous Content executive producers Steve Golin ("True Detective") and Chad Hamilton ("Breakup at a Wedding"). The series, now in its second season, airs Wednesday at 10/9c on USA Network. The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions.
