UNclub All Stars Set for Mix Studio Theater, 6/13

June 13 will be the third in a fun series at The Mix with an all star performance by the very best comics who have appeared at The Mix UNclub Sunday night standup show. Show starts at 8 pm, Saturday June 13, at The Mix Studio Theater, 8 N. Washington, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. All seats $10, available at www.emergentarts.com.

Veteran headliner and emcee Mark Sweetman will host an evening of professional comedy with Brad Wenzel, Esther Nevarez, John Cessna and special guests that will definitely give you something to talk about at the water cooler the following Monday. The best $10 you'll spend all week.

Mark Sweetman has performed in L.A., New York, Detroit and Las Vegas, and colleges all over the country. He has appeared on A&E's "An Evening at The Improv" and "Comedy on the Road" (for which he received an Ace Award), and FOX's "Comic Strip Live" and "Comedy Express".

Brad Wenzel was picked by Ricky Gervais as a finalist in the Conan "Just sayin'" Contest, was selected to be one of the "New Faces" at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and has performed at Riot LA. Brad has opened for: Brian Posehn, Kathleen Madigan, Gilbert Gottfried, Pete Holmes, Jerrod Carmichael, and Patton Oswalt.

In a business made up of mostly men, Esther Nevarez is perfectly fine talking smack with the guys. This self proclaimed "Mexican Unicorn" goes from expounding on her extremely small stature to defining skanks and ho's without missing a beat. Esther's performed at comedy festivals across the country, including Grand Rapid's Laugh Fest, the Boston Women in Comedy Festival, and New York City's Laughing Devil Comedy Festival. She took "Best of the Night" at the 3rd Annual Laugh Detroit Comedy Festival.

John Cessna was a featured comedian at the 2013 Limestone Comedy Festival, performed as a semi-pro at Laughfest, and was a finalist in the Bob & Tom All-Star Comedy Contest. His yearly humorous Christmas cards have been featured on Buzzfeed, The Daily Mail, and Mental Floss, and have over 7 million views.
