Catch The EDGE fever! The EDGE Improv is celebrating their 20th Anniversary Season in style November 1 at Bainbridge Performing Arts. In addition to their "anything-but-routine" First-Saturday show, this performance will include a short video with a look back at The EDGE Improv's FIRST twenty years.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and troupe member John Ellis encourages patrons to come early to share their memories of The EDGE, saying "please remind us of that one scene you just loved with us on camera, so these memories can be captured!" Some of these interviews will become part of "The EDGE at The Movies," the opening-night film at Celluloid Bainbridge on November 14 at the Lynnwood Theatre.

Other anniversary fun will include (but is not limited to) prizes for 1) Earliest EDGE attendee, and 2) Greatest EDGE attendance (that's numbers of shows attended, not "favorite" audience member). ALL audience members are the troupe's favorites!

The Edge Improv has performed to sell-out crowds regularly at BPA for two decades, and this season marks their 20th anniversary. On the first Saturday of each month, the troupe presents an ingeniously improvised evening of on-the-spot comedy, all from audience suggestions. The troupe's riotous antics have earned a devoted community of followers, and have inspired rave reviews and commentary from audience and troupe members alike. Troupe member Ken Ballenger says, "The Edge is like therapy, but cheaper."

The EDGE troupe members include Ken Ballenger, Frank Buxton, John Ellis, Cynthia Lair, Susan MacPherson, Bhama Roget, Andrew Shields, Chris Soldevilla, and Matty Whitman. Visit www.theedgeimprov.com for video clips from past shows and visit The EDGE at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org for tickets, bios, upcoming performances and more.

Join them November 1 for their never-the-same performance and help celebrate two decades of fun with a special anniversary bash. The performance is Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets, $16 for adults, and $12 for seniors, students, youth, military, and teachers, may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island. BPA Box Office hours are 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and one hour prior to each performance.

Bainbridge Performing Arts extends special thanks to The EDGE Improv's 2014 - 2015 Corporate Sponsor Rolling Bay Café. BPA is supported, in part, by Bainbridge Community Foundation and One Call for All.
