Now working under the prickly Diana (Shor), Liza has to figure out how to balance her real life with bestie Maggie (Mazar), and her "pretend" life with new friend and coworker Kelsey (Duff)... all while embarking on an exciting and somewhat confusing relationship with sexy tattoo artist Josh (Tortorella).

The first season, shot in Brooklyn and New York City, will see guest stars including Jane Krakowski ("30 Rock"), Ana Gasteyer ("Saturday Night Live"), Emmy(R) Award winner Martha Plimpton ("Raising Hope"), Peter Hermann ("Law & Order: SVU") and Kathy Najimy ("Sister Act"). Armed with new confidence, she lands a job as an assistant to the temperamental Diana (Shor) and teams up with her new co-worker and fellow 20-something Kelsey (Duff) to make it in the career of her dreams.
