Three Stand Up Dads- Tim Bedore, Dan St. Paul and Kelly McDonald, bring their good-spirited humor to The Grand 1894 Opera House Saturday, January 4 at 8pm. These talented comedians have found the perfect blend of family-friendly material, combining comical, tender stories about parents, wives, and treasured (but maddening) children. Sponsored by Houston Family Magazine, Three Stand Up Dads, will have you forgetting your troubles and laughing at life. This performance is part of Galveston's Passport to Holiday Magic activities and events.

Kelly McDonald, a Tonight Show veteran, personifies "classy" humor. His material proves it's possible to create humor without taking cheap shots for easy laughs. Tim Bedore has two decades of comedy experience through broadcasting and stand-up. He may best be known for his public radio commentary, "Vague but True." Stand-up veteran Dan St. Paul has appeared on "An Evening at the Improv", "Comic Strip Live", and often appears at corporate events and opens for stars like Gary Shandling, Seinfeld, Natalie Cole, and Vince Gill.

Each of these comedians infuses their routine with humor based on their experiences as husbands and fathers. As this show is really about close-to-home materials that make their families cringe. For example, Tim Bedore - father to a teenage daughter - actually pays her for the privilege of sharing the most embarrassing anecdotes with his audience. Leave your worries behind and continue to ring in the New Year with these very funny dads!

This performance is one of over 1,000 magical events taking place during this holiday season on Galveston Island. Again this year, The Grand 1894 Opera House is a proud participant in Galveston's Passport to Holiday Magic celebration- where visitors can access a downloadable "passport" to be stamped as they attend the island's many holiday events. Valuable prizes will be awarded, with the top drawing a cruise on Carnival Magic for four. For details and to download your "passport", visit www.galveston.com/holidaymagic.
